PRE-CONSCRIPTION OPINIONS

Teenagers approaching army conscription often feel tension and anxiety.
They fear the unknown, and may wonder whether they will be capable of integrating in the military system.

As part of the treatment at the clinic, support is given in coping with anxiety and difficulties relating to anticipation of conscription. As required, if it is necessary to involve army entities before conscription in order to suit the military service to the youngster’s capabilities, a professional opinion will be written for the army.

Gali Nahum has considerable experience as a Mental Health Officer in the military reserves, and is closely familiar with the system, and its demands and limitations.

PARENT COUNSELLING

Parenting is a very meaningful role, the most challenging role we take on in the course of our lives. Sometimes the challenge is too great –
our children do not come with operating instructions, and we may get slightly lost. Parent counselling offers guidance to parents  in how to be the best parents for your specific child.

Parent counselling can accompany individual
treatment of teenagers, or help parents coping
with difficulties of authority.

Parent guidance for all ages, including without
the child’s attendance.

WHAT IS PSYCHOTHERAPY?

Have you ever felt that everything is “too big to handle”?  That you cannot cope with life alone?

Many people are dealing with anxieties, depression, difficulty with interpersonal relations, poor self-image, and so on.
Some are experiencing a deep crisis following a traumatic event, separation, divorce, or death, or may have been in a difficult emotional situation for a long time.

Psychotherapy is used to treat problems of this kind, working best if a relationship
of trust is formed between therapist and patient.

Investing in therapy can lead to a significant improvement in one’s feelings, and improve quality of life and the sense of emotional well-being. Many patients report that the therapy has changed their lives for the better. In psychotherapy, a connection gradually develops between the therapist and patient.  This connection, and the supportive environment that is created,
makes it possible to talk openly with a person who is objective,
neutral, and non-judgmental. In this way, it is possible to look at other
connections in the patient’s life, and at the patient’s
complex life experiences, challenges, and distress.

Through these conversations, patients can understand what is holding them back, or
moving them forward, and how they can feel as good as possible.
